The Forbidden Fruit
The forbidden fruit,
That lies dangling on a tree,
Sprouted out of a seed of desire,
With an overwhelming sweeteness,
Greater and far more intoxicating than the finest of wine,
A single taste of this fruit,
Have made greats,
Who stood above all,
From the very peak of the heavens,
To fall and descend down from such a great height,
Down to the world which they once looked down on,
Good men,
With hearts purer than gold,
Become corrupted,
And their heart darkened and blacker than the night sky
Primitive,
Innate,
Overwhelming,
Passionate,
Undeniable,
A form of desire that no man born on this earth can reject,
That is the intoxicating flavor of this fruit,
It has made kings turn to beggars,
Saints to fall from grace and give in to its alluring temptations,
A dangerous fruit that destroys any man that craves just a single taste,
A fruit that every man desires,
But is forbidden from consuming,
For to do so would mean welcoming a fate of ruin and destruction,
A fate far worse than deathPopular Posts
