Looking at that little bastard of his, seeing the look of dread, horror, and despair in his eyes before returning his back to Temptation, seeing the pain in her eyes as looked at her son, wanting to nothing more than to rush straight to him and console and help soothe his pain. The Supreme Devil, with a wicked grin plastered on his face, spoke with a voice filled with glee, “Temptation, take him back to his room. I’m done with him”. She then went to him, looking at him and seeing that his body was completely healed but his eyes, though eyes that once shone and glowed with joy now looked deemed, flicker that looked as though it was soon be snuffed ou

The Protectors of Genesis chapter 2

Chapter 2

At Savaritarous, a meeting was being held by the Kinerix, a group of special elite Kinerik warriors tasked with the responsibility of protecting Kinerik from every and all threats.

Aselero then raced into the meeting, moving faster than the naked eye as he was not just a member of the Kinerix but also high ranking Kinerikan warrior known as a Hypirex, one of the highest of ranks a Kinerix warrior could have.

The Hypirex were known to be faster than the average Kinerix warrior and could harness and control the massive amounts of energy they generated while they ran.

Aselero, as a Hypirex only needed to wear a small ring with a limiter crystal on it to control his speed.

"What’s so urgent that you had to call me so early in the morning, I had just finished my morning run, I didn’t even have a chance to have breakfast yet,” said Aselero to the Kinerik council who were the leaders of the Kinerik and the ones who called for the meeting.

“Speak to the council with respect Aselero,” said a Kinerix warrior who was next to Aselero.

Aselero upon hearing what the warrior said just sighed before saying, “I apologize your graces, it’s just that I get a little grumpy when I skip breakfast, you understand don’t you”.

The warrior upon hearing what Aselero said just covered his face in shame and annoyance.

“I apologize, your graces, his one of our finest warriors but lack control of that mouth of his,” said the Kinetrix warrior in an attempt to appease the council over Aselero’s disrespectful behavior.

“It’s quite alright Xellorus, we are quite aware of Aselero’s disrespectful nature but he is also a Hypirex like you so we are willing to tolerate his minor acts of defiance if it means he puts his skills and incredible speed to good use and serves Kinerik well,” said the council causing Aselero to smirk as Xellorus, his fellow Hypirex, and the Kinerix warriors warned him to speak with respect before the council.

“My lords, if I may be so bold to ask, why did you call for this meeting so urgently?” asked Xellorus, curious as to why the council had called for a meeting with them.

“We fear that Kinerik may be in danger,” said the council.“In danger by what?” as Xellorus.

“That’s the worse part, we’re not entirely sure,” said the council.

"What do you mean by you’re not sure?” asked Aselero.

“A few days ago our sensors picked up a few World Fliers wondering too close to Kinerik space and according to our sensors they were armored and ready for battle,” said the council.

"Isn’t obvious then, World Fliers are one of the many machines built by the people of Genesis, they may be coming to conquer Kinerik” said Aselero.

"That’s what we believed as well but that was before they sent us this,” said the council before bringing out who looked like a scroll.

“A piece of paper,” said Aselero, unimpressed.

“It’s a messaging scroll, used by the people of Mystika to messages,” said the council.

“But why would Gensisian use mystical means to send a message when they could easily do so with their technology,” asked Xellorus, wondering why the people of Genesis would resort to magic instead of their technology to do something as simple as send a message.

“They wouldn’t and the people of Mystika aren’t too fond of technology as they see it as a cheap imitation of magic so I doubt they would dare to approach Kinerik on World Fliers,” said Aselero.

“You’re right Aselero, so the question is, if it wasn’t the people of Genesis or Mystika then who they?” asked Xellorus.

“To answer that question first you must listen, to the message they sent,” said the council before opening the scroll, and upon doing so a voice spoke out of the scroll saying:

“This I a message for the people of Kinerik, we are The Light Brings, the ones tasked with the responsibility of bringing to the darkness that has consumed all six worlds.
We have no ill intentions, all we want to the red heart of the Titan of the six worlds, for with its power we will be able to bring order and harmony to all six worlds.
We would deeply appreciate your cooperation but if we are met with any kind of opposition, I will not hesitate to strike back with a fury so great it will cause you an entire planet to shake”

All the Kinerix warriors upon hearing the message remained silent, thinking about everything they had just heard.

Aselero was the first of the Kinerixs to speak, breaking the intense silence by saying, “The heart of the Titan of the six worlds, I thought that was only a myth”.

”It’s far from a myth, the Titan of the six worlds, the monster created by the people of Genesis, Mystika, Kinerik, Cognis and Haidas, a being with the power to end all the six worlds,” said the council.

"And according to legend, it took the combined efforts of all six worlds to put an end to it, destroying it, leaving behind only six shades of the core stones that were the source of its power,” said Xellorus.

“Or, as they are better known, the red hearts,” said Aselero with a deep sigh, understanding, as did every other Kinerix warrior in the room, just how dangerous the threat of red hearts and the Titan of the six worlds were.

“Yes, and like the legends also say, the six shades of the core stone were separated and split across the six worlds, where they remained hidden for if they were ever to come together…” the council’s sentence was cut short by Xellorus saying, “The Titan of the six worlds would be reborn, spelling the doom of the six worlds”.

“How long do we have before they arrive?” asked Aselero.

“A few hours at most,” said the council.

“What? And you’re informing us now?” Aselero was enraged at the council for informing them about the threat that was approaching Kinerik only when they had very little time to prepare.

“We miscalculated the pace at which the World Fliers were approaching Kinerik, we hoped that we had enough time to deal with the threat without having to resort to force or violence,” said the council.

“And how did that turn out,” said Aselero, still enraged that the council chose to take their time to deliver them the news about the threat.

“We know as warriors your first instinct in dealing with threats is through force but as leaders, we have to deal with situations like this delicately, both the people of Mystika and Genesis are very dangerous, having magic and technology that far exceed and things we have here on Kinerik and if we were to do anything they would agitate either of those worlds, our speed may not be enough to save us from their wrath,” said the council.

“Well your decision to stay quiet about this may cost us Kinerik, and I don’t know about you all but I have a home, a wife, and two boys I would love to go back to,” said Aselero, fueled by nothing but rage as the thought of anything happening to Kinerik or his family filled his heart with fear.

“ASELERO!!” yelled Xellorus, calming Aselero down.

Aselero, still visibly upset, calmed down, trying his best to hold back the overwhelming rage that he felt at that moment from consuming him.

“We understand your rage and concern for Kinerik and your family but we have more urgent matters to attend to. If those piloting the approaching World Fliers are successful in retrieving the red heart from Kinerik, it will spell nothing but doom and disaster for not only Kinerik but all six worlds” said the council.

Aselero just sighed before saying, “Alright, what’s the plan, how do we stop these people from getting the red heart”.

"Once they arrive on Kinerix soil we will give them a final warning to leave but if they still refuse we can, in accordance to Great Laws of The Six, can apply forceful means to detain them,” said the council.

“Detain? From everything I just heard, they are too big of a threat to be simply ‘detained’” said Aselero.

“The Great Laws of the Six prevents us from doing anything further than detainment. The laws clearly state that none of the Six Worlds has the right to end the life of a being from another world unless it’s an absolute necessity, and for that to be the case there has to be proof that the being was a threat to the world and death was the only option to end the threat” said the council.

Aselero was about to say something but was stopped by Xellorus.

“We understand, you have the word of the Kinerix, we will do nothing more than detain the approaching invades,” said Xellorus causing Aselero to scuff out of annoyance.

“That’s good to hear, the last thing we need s another great war,” said the council.

“Agreed,” said Xellorus causing Aselero to roll his eyes out of annoyance.

“Now, as for the matter of the red heart because the red heart is very dangerous and a threat to all six worlds its location has been kept a secret from the public, only us the Kinerik Council. But given the situation we're in we have the decision to share the location with only the Hypirex as they are the fastest and most skilled of the Kinerix so they would be able to stand guard in case the invades somehow learn of the hearts location” said the council.

“You have to be kidding me, we are the fasters and most skill Kinerikans in Kinerik, Kinerik stands a better chance of dealing with these invades if we’re on the battlefield and not standing guard watching some red stone,” said Aselero, not happy about being stuck guarding the red heart instead of fighting to protect Kinerik.

“Are you forgetting that that red stone is the key to waking a creature capable of ending all six worlds?” said the council.

“The council is right Aselero, the red heart is too big of a threat to leave unguarded. I understand that you want to fight to protect Kinerik and your family but you have to understand, a threat as great as the Titan of the six worlds should not be treated lightly” said Xellorus.

Aselero upon hearing what Xellorus said calmed down but he was still upset with the fact that instead of fighting for his world he would be instead wasting his skills standing around guarding a red stone.

Xellorus seeing that Aselero had calmed down then turned to the council before saying, “You have my word the Hypirex will protect the red heart”.

“Let’s just hope it doesn’t come down to that” said the council.

And with those words said the meeting was put to an end and the council along with the Kinetix prepared for the arrivals of the Light Brings.
